ABOUT US
Passionise was founded in 2016 and is based in the University Campus of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. It was directly born out of our experience of managing the Project DIGISTART, a Startup Europe Initiative of the European Commission, that helps Startups and brings Entrepreneurship Culture to the University. While designing entrepreneurial educational content, we started researching into the billion dollar question: what really makes startups successful?
We had a realization that of all the best practices, processes, frameworks and guidelines, one of the key missing ingredient not talked about enough was the personal emotional state and motivations of the entrepreneurs and their teams. As we started profiling startup after startup, we began to realise that the more happier, supportive, self-confident and positive teams tend to be far more successful than teams which are more pessimistic, fearful and suffer from a lack of trust. If this key contributing factor is incorporated, it really boosts the quality of the Entrepreneurial Education. While this fact is well acknowledged, it has largely been ignored, because Emotional States are something that is usually invisible and goes unnoticed despite the fact that it has a major impact on the long term performance of an individual as well as the organization. Also a widely held belief is that emotions are supposed to be kept hidden unless people suffer from depression and then need to visit a psychiatrist. However we believe that proactive group interventions can not only avoid organizational burnouts, but can significantly enhance the chances of success in almost all parameters.
As of today, interventions in the emotional area are mostly designed at the individual level and outside the scope of Companies or Organizations. However there has been a growing trend in this area, such as Google's "Search Inside Yourself" programme being a very good example.
